Quote of the Day

There are moments when one has to choose between living one's own life, fully, entirely, completely - or dragging out some false, shallow, degrading existence that the world in it's hypocrisy demands.

A friend in need, is a friend INDEED!!!

Everyone’s heard the quote thousands of times, but only a few have the privilege to actually experience it. And fortunately, I’ve been one of those people. During the past few days, I’ve been a little down due to some very ugly situation. But thanks to my friend, I’m feeling much better. And I know for a fact that this friend is my TRUE friend. So this post goes out to her. Yes, it’s a girl. This post practically goes against all the sexist jokes I’ve made about girls, but in the end I guess, a girl came through for me. I hope your reading this.

This person, I met her in 6th grade. Apparently at that time, I was the cute one in class. :P. And well we became good friends instantly. And ever since that day we’ve been good friends. Whether it was the 6 years it’s been, or whether it’s what we’ve been through, I consider her my best friend. And I hope that she stays my best friend because friends like those are hard to find. And to be honest, the reason I consider her to be a TRUE friend is because she stayed with me at all times. I’ve been so wrong to her. I’ve ignored her when I shouldn’t have; I’ve favored others over her when I shouldn’t. The last time we actually met to face to face was in 9th grade. After that the best we could talk was on the internet. And we did, but occasionally I would be too lazy to sign on, or be doing something very insignificant but still tell her I’m busy. While at the same time, I’d talk to someone else the other minute. I don’t know if she knows this, but I guess she should. She deserves a better friend than I. So this is an open apology to you, my dear friend. May everyone have as good friends as I have, though a friend like you is near impossible to find. I’m one of those people who were lucky enough to find a friend like you. And your friendship is too important for me to ignore. So again, accept my apology for the wrongs I’ve done in the past, and hope I can be a better friend.

And if you still haven’t figured out who you are, it’s my bestest friend deebs.

Aren’t we all ANIMALS?

Posted on August 30th, 2006 by The King.

A certain person and I were having a conversation about being an animal. And it hit me, aren’t we all really animals? Obviously to some including the certain person, this seems like an absurd statement. But if we really go into its depth it’s true as hell.

First of all, scientifically we are all animals, social animals, but animals nonetheless. So please don’t deny it. But I’m not here to prove it scientifically. I’m trying to prove that we are animals by habit, and sometimes even worse.

We’re so called civilized people, but under certain conditions we turn into beast. Do you call a person who kills another for revenge civilized? Or a person that abuses his/her spouse? Or who kills other for mere pleasure (referring to hunting if you’re stupid and didn’t get that)? Why do we consider ourselves as top of the food chain, why are we so vain that we think we are so great. Why is it that when an animal attacks to defend its territory we kill it and call it a beast, and when it comes in our territory we also kill it, again calling it a beast? (more…)

Difference In Education Systems

Posted on August 26th, 2006 by The King.

Throughout my life I’ve been moving from place to place because of my father’s job. It has its ups and downs. One of the key differences in both the places is education. Now as far as I’ve seen, there is a huge difference that it takes some time to adjust. The U.S and Indian education systems are completely different. And that’s what I’m here to write about. This post was long overdue and someone even requested it (Don’t tell this to anyone but it was Aman :D) And as I was getting bored I thought I might just complete this. So here it is:

I may warn you that my experience is limited to only NY education department because each state has its own department. But many things are similar for all the states.

Compulsory and voluntary: One major difference is that finishing 12th grade is compulsory and not like India where it is only till 5th or 8th grade. Now some people argue that U.S. education system is very low but I think otherwise. In its defense I would argue that it doesn’t cost anything. I mean our government schools which are free aren’t good either. If you go to one I would assume that you know less than US students. Plus how much does the Indian government enforce students to go to these schools. Well U.S. students have to go to school. If you don’t go to school they call your parents and force you to go school. US government takes it very seriously. And the schools are pretty good too. On one hand the state pays for your education, while on the other hand your parents do.

Getting Screwed… BADLY

Posted on August 23rd, 2006 by The King.

This is an update on life:
1) My vacations are coming to an end. Somehow I’m mixed up on what I should feel. I mean I’m happy that I’ll meet my friends and this boredom will be finally over. But on the other hand, school is going to be so hard with my extra classes and then I won’t be able to play Counter Strike anymore.
2) I have to complete my AP assigments. Well ive done half of one of them, the second one is still pending. I’m going to get so screwed.
3) I have to get volunteer credit. For that I need to do volunteer work. I’m trying to do that, almost there but can’t get hold of the lady that I need to . So wish me best of luck for that. But it’s going to be so hard.
4) PSAT and SAT. Man those are coming up too. And I’m so stressed about that because I have to do really good on that for something good to happen. And the worst problem is, I’m not even trying. I’m so screwed.

That’s pretty much all I can think of right now. I have so much to do, but well I don’t have the time and I procrastinate too much. I NEED TO STOP PROCRASTINATING!!!

Well the rest I’ll tell you later.

Problem with WOMEN!!!

Posted on August 20th, 2006 by The King.
Categories: Everything and Anything!!!, Hilariously Dillusional.

I couldn’t find a suitable introduction for this post so I might as well just get into it. Man, sometimes do women piss me off, if it’s not the excessive crying then it’s the excessive anger. For once why can’t they respect us and try to do things the way we do it. Life is so much simpler!!!

1. This is mentioned in one of my other posts but it’s too big a deal to let it go so easily. What in God’s name is up with all the crying? Why, oh why, do you cry so much? Whether it’s watching movies, or seeing a soap opera, do these people know how to cry. Sure there is a flow of emotions, but sometimes it is so unnecessary. And what is with the constant “aw” in things? He hurt himself, “Aw”. She broke your heart, “Aw”. You broke your nail, “Awe.”, She awe’s too much, “Awe.”
