Just RelaX!!!

It’s really amazing how busy the world has become. We’re always running here and there, never getting time to just relax. I was thinking about it, how many of us actually really really enjoy life. Obviously you’re happy, but sometimes life feels so void. We’ve become so superficial, we always want more, but fail to realize that more doesn’t always bring happiness. You see people running around doing work, life’s become so hectic. I’m still in High School and I have so much stress. This would all seem normal if I didn’t know that it was different in the past. I have heard childhood stories from my grandparents, even my parents. They tell me about times when homework was meager, children used to have fun without the constant worries of school, getting into a good college etc. Families used to go out every weekend, parents used to have “quality time” with their children. I’m not trying to blame parents, but the whole world has become so competitive, life as a whole, has become stressful. It’s just work work work everywhere. You have to work your ass of to just earn a 2 time meal. (more…)

Society With Its Views!!!

It was 4 in the morning when my friend and I were talking. I was half asleep and this thought came into my mind, Today we look at the history books, look at the pictures, we point and laugh at the dress codes, we make judgments on what they did wrong, but soon in the future, someone will probably be doing the same for us. Why is society so judgmental? Why do we look at history’s mistakes and believe that if we were there, we wouldn’t have done those mistakes. This generation has its own mistakes, the World Wars, the Atomic Bomb, Nuclear Weapons, Terrorism, you name it we have it. Then why do we think we are better than the previous eras. Is it just because we have better living conditions or more life expectancy or did all societies think the same way.

When SHIT Hits The Fan…

Someone very wise said, “When shit hits the fan, it splatters all over the place.” Or something like that, but we get the point. So recently, life’s been a lil’ bitch. Yes, I used an obscenity but it’s just to express my true feelings. The past week of school has been really stressful, and I hope everything turns out well.

So first of all, I get to represent my school, Francis Lewis in the District Attorneys office, once a month. This is a great opportunity for me, if I want to become a lawyer, or go in that field, which I do. But that’s exactly when THE SHIT HIT THE FAN!!! See in the beginning, I was going to miss my math class once a month and everything seemed to work out well. But then the head of the math department believed it wouldn’t be right if I missed it once a month. ONCE A MONTH I REPEAT. (more…)

In Memory of 9/11

Today is a day of grief in the world’s history. 9/11 will be remembered throughout history as one of the major terrorist attacks. It’ll go in history books and all kinds of books. But what won’t be remembered is the pain behind it. Like all other historical events, this too shall be remembered only for name sake, and the emotions all gone.

But today, not because I live in the United States, but because I live in this world, our world, I shall remember them, and have a moment of silence for all those lost. I am not here to find fault in the government, or talk about Al- Qaeda, but to talk about the pain behind the tragedy. 3000 people died, many more injured. Did the people have the right to get killed? So many innocent civilians’ dead, did they really deserve it? They went on their daily jobs like we do, but why them? Some might say wrong place at the wrong time. So many son’s and daughters lost, spouses dead, kids lost their parents.

Next time you think about 9/11, don’t just think about the facts, think about the pain, and feel how lucky you are to be alive, and to be doing what you are doing; because just like us, they were doing their jobs when this happened.

OMG School’s tommorow, Oh Sh@$, it’s today

That’s right folks, school has finally started. But this time, it ain’t as sweet as last year. I’m a junior this year, or in other words, 11th grader. And I have a period 1 - 9 schedule, which means my first class starts at 7:26. Yup, 7:26 in the freaking morning. I have to wake up @ 5:30 which sucks big time. Take a shower, blah blah blah and get going. One thing good in all this is that I at least get free breakfast from school. YEAH!!!

So this I wake up in this morning, feeling all bad coz it was too early. I got over that soon, since I was on the bus talking and cracking jokes with my friends. So I reach the cafeteria thinking I would get something to eat. But I learnt that they don’t open it till 7. So we wait, as soon as the clock hits 7, there was a long line in front of the kitchen. My friends and I were too lazy to stand there, so we waited a while. In sometime, we see the lines cleared up, so we go there to get some… food that is. As soon as we return and start eating, the bell rings and it’s time to go. I took a bite out of the muffin, which was delicious by the way, and took my juice pack. I drank it while I was on my way to my first class. PHYSICS. From here on, the day wasn’t that bad. Don’t want to get into details. I have a few friends in each class, except for Spanish. All freshmen, pshhh. And there’s a kid whos’ in 4 of my 9 classes, and that to back to back. WEIRD!!!

So i get out finally, and i rush into the bus. My friends and I crack some more jokes, and I’m home. My head is splitting due to a headache, so I eat food and just go to sleep. That pretty much explains my day. Now I’m here, posting away, wondering how often I shall post from now on.

Curse The SCHOOL.
