For a long time I’ve been wanting to add a plugin that allows me to display a small text or quote without making a new post as such. I tried Asides and it was either too complicated and I screwed up or it didn’t work with this theme. Either way, I hated the fact that I didn’t have the resources to do such a thing.

So I’ve been teaching myself HTML bit by bit, not only for this site, but also for general knowledge. And even though it has only been a few days, it has paid off. You see the little box on the top of this, well by looking at the coding for the page etc, and some help from Rohan, I’ve managed to make the whole thing by myself. Now for some of you, it might not be a big deal. But for me, it’s a victory for me. It’s like one of those boost me up things. And anyone who knows me is probably happy because they know how much I suck at this. So ya, Hurrah for moi.

BTW, please do comment on whether it should be on the Sidebar or on the top. I personally like the quote on the top because it’s more prominent.

looks great at the top. the marquee thing that you have used makes it look even better.

I prefer it on the sidebar. Though the marquee is good, putting it at the top in a box of its own is a bit like an annoying advertisement. Also, some people don’t like some quotes (as you can see), and so it would be irritating for them to have to read every time they have to read a post or a page.

It looks like a post . I d rather have it in a different box than segregates it from the normal post boxes. I dont like the theme too much , so .. i give it -1 :)
