Just the other day I had a milkshake with strawberries, banana’s and ice cream. Believe it or not, it came out pretty good.

Now that the fun fact is over, you’re wondering what my milkshake has to do with anything. And why did I suddenly just change my gender? Luckily for you, I didn’t (or did I?). I just chose that title to show that I live in luxury. It’s not because I’m rich, but because society makes us live in extravagance.

Do me a favor and look at all the things in your room. You probably have an mp3 player, a computer (you’re on it right now?), maybe a T.V., an electronic pencil sharpener (I have that) a couple of staplers (I have 2) and a lot of useless items that we can do without. If I look around in my room, I see so many useless things which I don’t need but I want. Today’s society is so vain that it respects you not on the basis of you but on the basis of what you have. It’s become a trend for people to have things they don’t need. Why do we do so?
