Quote of the Day

There are moments when one has to choose between living one's own life, fully, entirely, completely - or dragging out some false, shallow, degrading existence that the world in it's hypocrisy demands.

Just A Though II

How come different languages have difference words for plural and singular. For example, is and are? The sentence doesn’t make a difference whether I say? “Is there any pieces of cake in the box?” or “Are there any pieces of cake in the box?” Either way I convey the message that I want some cake from the box. How does the Is or Are make a difference? And it’s not just English, it’s all languages.

My question to think about is that whoever or whatever group of people made the language, why did they make it unnecessarily complicated?
